I Take my Coffee Black
Tyler Merritt
So, listen, if you haven’t read this book (and I realize I’m a little late to the party here), I’m gonna need you to get yourself a copy of it right now.
I’m sure your local library has it, but you should just buy it (if you have the means) because you’re going to want to lend it to every human you know and probably some you don’t.
This is a heartfelt, honest, raw, and stupidly funny mix of memoirs, history lessons, stand-up shows, social commentary, and church commentary.
Frankly, it’s exactly what our world needs right now.
If you’ve never understood the humanity and inhumanity associated with racism, read this book (or even if you have).
If you’ve never understood church hurt, read this book.
If you understand church hurt all too well, read this book.
If you’ve ever felt marginalized, read this book.
If you’ve never felt marginalized, read this book.
If you feel too human, too imperfect, too unworthy for the church, read this book.
Listen, whoever you are, wherever you are, READ THIS BOOK!
